As QLF moved towards its 50th Anniversary, we thought it essential to tap the enormous talents, energies, and wisdom of our alumni as a way of celebrating our own diverse community and also to look for their input in shaping QLF's future. The Congress was designed to allow alumni from all regions and representing QLF's history to meet one another; provide a forum for alumni to discuss common issues in areas such as community-based conservation, cultural heritage, stewardship, and sustainable living; gain alumni input into shaping QLF's next 50 years; and to foster an opportunity for alumni to forge partnerships to address global concerns in a way that governments alone cannot, all within the context of the first celebration of QLF's Half Century.
